FOR FURTHER STUDY
What talents do you have that you are NOT using to their best advantage?
Suppose you were given $10 to use for a short time and you knew you would have to return it, what would you do with it. What do you think the result would be? Would you just return the $10 and keep the profit? Why?

Extra Scripture:
     Judges 4:1-7
     Psalm 123
     1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

  2. For me, there are several answers.

First, some things just seem to come naturally.

Second, I've tried a lot of things - some work out but some don't. There is the ready, fire, aim theory- do something, if it doesn't work - re-aim.

Also I try to find the will of God. That's that's not always been easy for me. One test I use is does it fit with in the scripture.

I also have used some of the assessments that are out there to look at interests, skills and abilities.

Like I said, it's not always been easy for me - but God is not finished with me yet.

  3. I would take the money and make baked goods with it... I could resell the goods to make a profit with the money... baking is one thing I can do that would make a profit for the money I was given.
I too have trouble finding my talents sometimes... maybe I feel that it should be something big, but was glad to hear Bruce say that our talents don't have to be big to be a gift.
